These rides are aimed at experienced riders wanting to ride good, forward going horses along historic scenic routes throughout Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.

Riding will be approximately 5 hours per day, three can be extended to six hours. Lunch is included. Most of the routes are remote, quiet enough to see wildlife and learn about the history of the area.

‘Hilltop forts and heather’ and Coast, Castles and Cuthbert’ are suitable for first time Shipley Lane clients as they are close to the Equestrian Centre and allow an assessment to be carried out prior to setting off.
